Adopting new findings to improve clinical outcomes is crucial, but recent trends to abandon traditional redirection in lymphoedema needs closer scrutiny. We will revisit research on the impact of MLD in adjacent watersheds, and review a case report on the use of alternative pathways in BCRL.
