MTC Lymph Taping Certificate

For qualified or experienced lymphatic therapists, this hands on Practical Workshop teaches the most up to date application of kinesiology tape to create a lymphatic effect in the treatment of multiple acute and chronic conditions. 

A range of pathologies are covered including seroma and breast oedema, traumatic injury, plantar fasciitis, frozen shoulder, scar and fibrosis tapes, and lymphoedema including discussion of the potential to use lymph taping as an alternative to compression.

Enrolment in Online Courses is open to all health professionals

Enrolment in the Practical Workshop is open to therapists listed on the NLPR or Vodder School websites, or who have demonstrated experience in lymphoedema management

There are 3 course components

1. Introduction to Lymph Taping - 5-hrs self-directed study

  • Background history, evolution of kinesiology tapes

  • Characteristics and principles of kinesiology tapes

  • Effects of lymph taping

  • Contraindications

  • Research


2. MTC Lymph Taping Pre-Course -10-hrs, roll of 5mx5cm Cure Tape supplied

  • Introduction to Lymph Taping is a pre-requisite

  • Taping accessories and skin preparation

  • Apply, monitor and remove a test strip

  • Lymph taping practice examples 

3. Practical Workshop - 1.5-days face-to-face

  • Demonstration and practice in the correct and skilful application of

    • Lymph tapes

    • Scar and fibrosis tapes

    • Complex lymphatic indications.

    • Taping practice is reinforced during case based taping of fellow class members throughout both days.

    • 100% attendance is required in the face-to-face sessions
